Many people think Tasmania is a cold place especially in winter, but we do have great days of sunshine and clear blue skies. Very little pollution here.
We had a huge storm on the beach a few months ago and since then a few fences have been added to help stop erosion on the sand dunes.
Now that I have retired and I am trying to lose weight, I am taking more walks along the beach near my house. Noticed these beautiful ripples in the sand the other day.
Driving around Tasmanian roads, you will occasionally see a burnt out vehicle that has probably been stolen first, then set fire to so no forensic evidence can be found.
Another noisy bird found in Tasmania at this time of year are what we call crows but they are in fact forest ravens. They make a deep kor kor sound.
Once yachties in the Sydney/Hobart or Melbourne/Hobart yacht races round this lighthouse, they know they are heading into Storm Bay and the entrance to the Derwent River.
Lots of different ways to protect your grape vines, but here we see a netting to stop birds from destroying the harvest.

On my drive around the Huon River and DÉntrecasteaux Channel I found this unusual entrance to the house.
