Tomorrow is Australia Day but I wonder how many of my visitors to my various blogs really know how to speak Australian. This is called ‘strine’ .
Try translating the following:
The bludger was watching the aerial ping pong on the box and using the Aussie salute.
The Aussie battler was away with the fairies and had burnt the bangers and mash.

If you are not Australian, what are some words you use that we would have trouble understanding?
Do you know who the cheeseheads are in the United States?
🙂 They are the Green Bay Packer fans in Wisconsin. Some actually wear foam wedges of cheese on their heads to back the “Pack”. Our football team is going to the Super Bowl this year and all the cheeseheads are very excited!
I imagine our football terms would not be very understandable to you either. I have seen Aussie rules footy and it is VERY different from our football!
